Entertainment-y things...
Sep. 10th, 2004 01:31 pmSo.. It looks like Joss' campaining for X3 has paid off. Right now he is the favorite to get the movie since they're still looking for a 2005 or 206 release date. Nothing official has been announced but the rumors are coming from the right places.
Mark Hamill had some interesting things to say about Episodes 7, 8 and 9. Essentially there /is/ a Star Wars TV show coming and that Lucas asked him a long time ago if he wanted to be an Obi-Wan sort of figure in Episode 9. Apparently he says he wouldn't mind.
Smallville looks to be interesting this season. We get Lois Lane and the woman who played Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) in the movies. We're really hitting up the mythology pretty hard here. It's still fun. So far.
Ocean's 12 is getting some unhappy reviews from prescreening. We'll see.
Aquaman is supposed to be a funnier sort of movie... I'm still not sure why we're going to whole Aquaman and Namor route right now. I like the characters, I do but I think there are better places to go. We've barely touched the surface, here.
The House of Flying Daggers is showing at the Toronto Film Festival. When I hear how it has gone over, I'll let you know. I'm hoping this one gets released widely much faster than Hero did.
Nathan Fillion is doing a JLU voice later this season.
I think that is it for the moment.
