litheraI keep on having things I want to tell people but they slip right out of my head. It can't be a good thing. There was going to be something I was going to write here this morning but I've forgotten that too.
There were slugs on my walk into work. That was odd.
Oh! I remember now. It's amazing how many people comment on the book I'm currently reading. It's called "The Battle of Salamis" by Barry Strauss. It is the Athenian naval battle to accompany the Spartan land battle at Thermopylae during the same war. The Greeks had some amazing luck. It is also one of the few recorded battles in history where one of the admirals was a woman.
People seem to think that I have to be reading this for a class or something. I've had people look at me strangely or call me an 'intellectual' for reading this sorts of stuff for fun. I am really enjoying the book. Not only is it well written but it is written in an easily accessable tone and manner.
Anyway... I remembered. Go me.
