This morning...

So right as I got off of the bus the sky opened up and started pouring. S'kind of funny. My hair was just starting to dry a little bit, too. Heh. I love the rain, though. It left a smile on my face.

I listened to my new Muppets CD on my way into work. It's been a long time since something tugged at me so hard in so many different ways. I was happy and almost crying at the same time. I love the Muppets. Jim Henson's death still makes me a little sad now and then.

What else? I'm nervous about the meeting today but we'll see how it goes. I have a few questions about the job that I am hoping to get answered. Maybe have some general conversation and chitchat as well. I'm hoping my hair dries out.... other than this one strand that seems to have avoided all of the rain. That would be quite nice.

I need to think of villain colors. I know any color can be but I need two colors that go together villainously. I'm coming up with green and purple as it seems to be popular like that but I'm open to suggestions.

Green, purple, and orange were the classic villain colors in the old four-color days. Any pair of them works, IMO.

Purple and black, to me, scream villain.

Green and gray/silver, too. It works well on Dr. Doom and Doc Ock.

There are certain musical artists John Denver, Elton John, Alice Cooper and now Weezer that I shall always and forever associate as being surrounded by Muppets while preforming.

A coworker of mine once told me that pink and grey are "Heavy Metal colors", that's pretty villanous in my book.

They did a music video about two years back that harkened back to the old Muppet Show guest star preformances. There was even a plot where Ms. Piggy was trying to seduce the drummer, and they had to replace him with Animal for the preformance (there always was a crisis on The Muppet Show that Kermit was stressing over). Oh, and it had singing penguins, can't forget that.

Well, I'm throwing this Halloween party and this year's theme is villains. I needed colors for envelopes and ink and all of that. I had a costume idea but now I'll have to see which one seems more workable.

They had a party at the Seattle Westercon (the one we did the Gotham Villains at!). I can't remember which other cons for sure but I know I've seen them a few times. I think they are out of LA. The most notable feature of their party is the wall of fame. They have portraits of villainous types all over the walls. We insisted they add our characters.

Huh. I think I missed it at WesterCon. That Con was crazy for me. It seemed like there was always something to do there but it felt very relaxed at the same time.
