Some of you can imagine the noise I just made when I saw this. Some of you can't. Doesnt' matter.

Anyone have a few hundred thousand dollars?

If you win the auction, can I borrow them? I promise not to eat my gooey peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while I'm reading them... :-}

Hell, for that much money, you could hire some writers and artists to make a comic book just for you.

But it wouldn't be THOSE comics.

That's like saying, "Hell, why buy David for a few million, when you could have someone sculpt you a naked man for much less?"

Ho-lee shit.

I can, actually, now imagine said sound. You could always take out a loan and then aution off a bunch of the doubles or less desireables to help pay for it.. ;)

Truly? Interesting.

That is a thought. I don't think it would work, though.

Bah! No Action 1, no Detective 27... :)

I wonder if breaking that collection up would result in a profit. You could sell the full runs independently, and then the Superman 1s and Amazing Fantasy 15s individually. Would that net more than $250,000? Dunno.

Ah crap!!! I just checked my wallet, I'm just short. Does anyone have $249,980 dollars laying around they could float me until payday?

I promise, I won't leave this one near the strawberry jam like I did with Superman #1.

Not even for a few million?

Damn! There goes that plan.

Kat? Maybe I do have the cash available for those comics... ;)
