From CNN - "The sixth book in the popular Harry Potter series will be titled "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," the books' author J.K. Rowling has announced.

There are Constantine reviews coming and they're saying that this is the dark horse of the summer. People are /liking/ it. From what I can see they've shifted things a little bit. None of the reviewer are huge Hellblazer geeks so far but they are comic readers, so.... I'm still going to see it. Apparently Keanu pull off tortured soul pretty well.

The trailer for Phantom of the Opera is right here. Probably going to see it. Not sure how it will be.

And I have to say that National Treasure looks interesting as well. (Sean Bean. Nic Cage. Hidden treasure. I'm all about this.)

The new Sky Captain trailer is here.

And the trailer for Blade III. (See, I stop looking at this stuff for a few days and they're everywhere.) Looks like worth seeing for an early showing.

There will not be a Punisher II, apparently. And Superman continues to have issues. Fantastic Four casting rumors continue to fly like crazy.

..... and that's all I have for now.

As someone who read the Fantastic Four growing up and came to love them by playing Sue Richards online for a few years (between two periods of time), I do not anticipate the FF movie. I fear it. Why? Doctor Van Damme. Whoever in hell that's going to be, because Victor von Doom isn't right for the movie, apparently. :P

Spider-Man and X-Mendid exceedingly well in part because real directors directed them and actors rather than movie stars were cast. I mean, have you seen Ian McKellen as Magneto? The FF cast possibilities make me cringe. I can only hope someone smart decides the money'll come if money's spent on the movie.

Ian McKellen /is/ Magneto for me forever and ever now. He's the smarmiest old man in the world and he completely believes that his way is the correct way to go.

Well, the most recent rumors have the guy from Horatio Hornblower up for a role. (I can't spell his name. Ioan something or other.) I haven't heard anything solid on anyone actually being cast yet.

Yes, he's an excellent actor, though I doubt he'll get me to see the King Arthur thingie this summer. (Guinevere in leather undies and wode, carrying a bow and firing left-handed. Um....)

George Clooney to me is perfect for Reed. I used Charlize Theron for Sue when I played her last; she was suggested when the movie idea came up a few years ago, before she won her Oscar. And Michael Chiklis from The Shield was suggested for Ben; that'd rock. (Er, no pun intended.) WHat I've seen for casting, though, by in large sucks. Someone said Tim Robbins was being approached for Doom..er...van Damme. Yerk.

On one hand, Phantom of the Opera is awesome.

On the other hand, Joel Shumacher.

Will the Phantom's costume have nipples on it?

Meh.

The best Magneto was "Fall of the Mutants" Magneto, when he was in charge of the New Mutants and in the Hellfire Club and whatnot.

And that's not the same Magneto as the movie's Magneto.

Hmmmmm. Possibly. I was just thrilled to see Magneto brought to the screen in such a way. I'd feared the entire X-men movie idea and he just grabbed it. Smarmy, smarmy. Both he and Patrick Stewart.

Gruffedd (Methinks). And If Ioan is in it, it wall make the entire thing watchable. It was kind of scary, watching his TV show. It was almost as if, whenever he wasn't on screen, the show sagged. IMO.

I suspects that I've seen this before, but I'll say it now: your entertainment spy network asonishes me and humbles me. You should be a librarian.
