It was nice and cool this morning. Wheeeeee. That was pleasant.

Example 4,592 of why I'm such a huge geek. I watched the trailer for the Star Wars DVDs this morning and was all sniffly and weepy. (And not just because I'm horrified at what Lucas has done.) I need to sit down and watch them again. My taped originals. When Han shot first and the Ewoks had the cute little song.

Yeah. That's me. Big dork.

I got chills too - just because it was Star Wars, not 100% the way I remember, but damn close - closer than we'll ever get (which is sad to say.) But still - it was Star Wars!

I don't have the tapes, but I got the lasers. I really should see if I can burn them to DVD . ..

I have two versions on tape, even. My parents have the laser discs. Yeah. It was Star Wars. I'd forgotten how much I love it.

I used to have a copy on tape but I gave it to a girl. Grr. but that's okay, my VCR doesn't work anymore anyway.

The more I hear about Lucas and the changes he's making to the movies, the closer I hold my tapes. Sometimes I think he should be adding version numbers, with each new release: Star Wars 1.1, 1.2, 1.3...just so's we can tell the difference.

and have been on Amazon reading the reviews for Star Wars Galaxies. I decided its not for me, but switched to reading the reviews for the PC version of Knights of The Old Republic. One of the reviewers posted that Knights is better than Episodes one and two...

Thats a bit harsh but from what I have seen of the game that might be right. How is it possible that the frist three are sooo good but that C.G. effects continue to muff the prequels?
