Whoa. Batmobile. Yeow.

Adrien Brody (The Pianist) is in talks with Universal Pictures to join the cast of Peter Jackson's King Kong, says Variety. On Monday, the studio announced that Jack Black will play showman Carl Denham who brings the giant gorilla to New York City from Skull Island.

Keanu Reeves will star in A Scanner Darkly. Another Phillip K. Dick novel that may or may not look anything like novel when they're done.

Universal Pictures is in talks with 2 Fast 2 Furious writing duo Michael Brandt and Derek Haas to adapt the recently acquired comic book property Wanted. There are what? Three issues of this out so far...?

The trailer for the Dodgeball movie. Wow. I think I have to see that.

Yeah. That's going to be the Batmobile from what I can tell. Apparently Wayne Tech develops some things for the military and others and this is something that no one wanted that Bruce finds.

Honestly? I kinda don't like it. I mean it's cool on its own merits but it doesn't look like THE Batmobile to me. When I think of the one and only Batmobile, I think of something at least similar to the first Tim Burton movie's Batmobile. To me that was the best one so far depicted.

It'd be really awesome as some kind of specialized Batmobile 2 or something, though.

See, while I agree with you that the first image brought to mid of the batmobile was something like in Burton's movie, I always wonder hwo the heck something like that is anything near practical. I mean, it's supposed to be something you can drive anywhere not everyone's hot rod dream.

Actually, it's "Countach". I have no idea what that means. And my first thought on seeing it was "Holy shit! It IS a bat-tank!"

I will agree, it looks cool, but not really... Batmobile-ish.

Up on those tires, though... I think they were trying to evoke the image of the Batmobile from DKR, maybe? The one that was for all intents and purposes a tank.

No kidding. Apparently all of the stunts for the car will actually be done by the car.
