Nah. Honestly, I could wish Mr. Reeve was more buff back in the day. He had the face and the earnest, good guy attitude, but he just doesn't 'look' Superman to me when I see him in the costume.
And Tobey not only pulled off Spidey, he nailed Peter Parker. AND let's not forget J. Jonah Jameson. Holy shit could that have possibly been cast better?
The acting job of Reeve was just perfect. I'm watching it now and there was something about him. I wish her were more buff but I always thought that Supes is portrayed a little too muscle bound.
He did. Tobey did get them both, I just don't think it was as strong.
It probably has to do with the script as well. While I think the whole Supes reversing time thing was lame, I have to say you see more of him, more of who he is. I know that Spidey 2 will just rock me off my feet but I think as a first movie, Superman is stronger.
And you should write me back. That conversation was interesting.
Though I'm going to have to get back to you on it tomorrow I think. It's definitely one where I need to sit down to it instead of just haphazardly whip out a response.
Christopher Reeve hit the character the best. The score was awesome. A lot of the rest of the movie, including its cop-out resolution kind of sucked really.
Superman had the potential to be the best comic movie of all time. Spider-Man was better in all.
