I love it when I get about half way through a project and realize that I could have done it much, much more quickly another way entirely.

I'm still losing my voice. I'm raspy, right now.

I hope I have a voice on Wednesday. I'm supposed to train people.

Raspy like Bea Arthur?

Or sexy-smokey like Angie Harmon?

I'm betting the latter. ;)

If you'd asked me yesterday or the day before it would have been like Angie Harmon. Now, it's just more me speaking as if I'm whispering all the time and it randomly cuts out from time to time.

You could start the training with a great intro, like..

"The pit of dessspaaaiir.. don't even THINK of *cough cough*"

Heh. That would be pretty sweet but I don't know it people would get or appreciate it.

Of you could just use little signs you hold up, like Wild E. Coyote. ;)

Explain to them with a -SECOND- projector/slides. Use the pointer to point out what there is to be pointed out. ;)

Heh. I really don't want to do more work on the presentation than I have. I'll just bring a big glass of water and tell them all to listen carefully.

Have you tried some tea with honey? Old theatre trick (though, admittedly, it's not much of a trick).

Personally, I prefer honey and a stick of cinnamon.

If you're not a tea fan, you can also just use hot water. Since I don't like tea... tat's often what I do. The 'trick' of it is to use a rather generous amount of honey (s'why the cinnastick helps witht he taste, to not make it 'just sweet').

*grins* Yep. I've been plying myself with much honeyed tea and trying to do as little talking as I can get away with today.

I did theatre things in high school.

For me, 'twas a part of my fumblig attempting at a degree, before I realized how useless it was. Long story there. But, longtime theatre brat here.

But, oddly, that's not where the massage/nerve stuff comes from. ;)

We are all books with many pages and plot twists. I'm sure I'll get there some day.
