Cinescape and The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Liam Neeson will star opposite Christian Bale in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming Batman movie being directed by Christopher Nolan and written by David Goyer. Liam Neeson - Ra's?

So, not only is Comcast trying to buy out Disney but Viacom, TimeWarner and... Pixar have all decided to throw in their hats and give things a try. Wouldn't that be funny? Disney owned by Pixar? Ah. Poor Walt. Poor Roy.

Cinesite (Europe) Ltd has been awarded all of the digital effects for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which starts shooting at Elstree Studios in April, 2004. They've done the special effects for Harry Potter thus far.

Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones will join George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, and the rest of the all-star ensemble cast of Ocean's Eleven in its much-anticipated sequel, Ocean's Twelve, scheduled to begin production this April. Can you imagine? If some horrible thing happens on the set of this movie, just about every sure box office draw out there now will just be gone.

The Feb. 25th episode of Angel will be written and directed by Joss Wheadon. Watch out.

Geroge Lucas makes me sad. First he rejects a script for Indy 4 that Spielberg and Ford both loved. Then ... well... I'm just glad I have my pre-Special Edition VHS tapes, even if they are starting to be a little worn. Will I get the Star Wars DVDs? Probably. I don't know if I can help myself but... I won't be giddy about it.

Next week will be a lovely comic books week.

Did they actually do all the weird digital-editting into the Star Wars DVDs that they were talking about, to 'make the series mesh better'?

Not to my my knoweldge but I know that it /is/ the Special Editions. While I kind of liked some of that stuff added in, how hard would it have been to put the Special Edition on one side and the original untouched on the other? Or any number of other possibilities when we're talking DVDs.

Yeah. Lucas seems to be on a 'burn the past, made room for the new!' kick. It's sad.

I hadn't heard about the Indy thing. I knew Harrison had mentioned there was a script he liked -- but Lucas vetoed it? DAMN THAT MAN! He wouldn't know a good script if it bit him in the ass.

Yep. He was the only one of them that didn't like it. If they don't get something soon, filming will be delayed due to other projects Speilberg has commited to doing.

Batman movie involving Ra.. Hmm, does that mean it will be an international movie or just sticking to Gotham? (Since I know some of the cartoon series had batman dealing with Ra in other places outside of Gotham)...

Hmm.. HGttG -- Hmm, I wonder how a movie will compare to the British television series... Other then better special effects.. I wonder how they are going to do our favorite boring android..

It's mostly Gotham though it will also have other places in the world components.

I really like Christian Bale for Batman. He might very well be the perfect Batman/Bruce Wayne combination. Dare I consider the possibility that this movie will not suck?

On George: He's a n00b. Speilberg and Ford should fire him and do the movie they like anyway.

I've seen parts of the script. It definately looks like not suck. It looks a little different than I think people will be expecting but definately not suck.

Star Wars George makes me sad.
