Since I have some time while programs are running...

More news about Roy Disney and his fight to save Disney from never being able to mean anything good again. I, for one, am cheering Roy Disney on.

Here is a good review of Peter Pan. A lot of people have been giving it bad reviews because they're not comfortable with the hints of sex in it. Bah, I say. Go read the book and tell me it wasn't there.

The Muppet Wizard of Oz is coming... to TV unforunately but it is coming. They're still looking for a Dorothy but Natalie Portman is high up on the list.

The rumors are that Peter Jackson's final DVD cut of Return of the King will be somewhere around five hours long. From all of the things I've seen that we know have been cut, that doesn't sound impossible.

There is a work print of Man-Thing being shown around. Apparently it is a quality movie, definately creepy. Never been a big Man-Thing fan, myself, but I'm willing to support the genre and give it a chance.

Kill Bill could move from February to April. It looks like a very slow start so far to 2004 movie wise.

There are tons of little things about a lot of comic books movies. Let's just say Silver Surfer and Fantastic Four are moving ahead.

Return of the King has now taken in $492.1 million dollars worldwide in two weeks. Go see it again. Maybe it can take the top spot of all time from Titanic. (1.8 billion worldwide.)

Peter Pan was - at times - almost feral.

It was eerie and beautiful all at once.

...

I need to go see this one again.

Even better. That means it was exactly like I thought it was. I need to make another movie day. Might not have another one for awhile.

Peter pan and Sex hua? Did anybody actualy watch the Francice Ford Copola The Secret Garden? It's like, the gentle primer on sex and being English, isn't it?

Dickon: (cockney accent) Touch it.

Mary: (prudish English accent) No. But it's filty and dirty.

Dickon: It's soft. You'll like it.

Mary: There, I did it.

Dickon: (removes her glove): There, like that Miss Mary.

Yeah. A lot of those books there were like that. I liked that version of the Secret Garden.

It is positively the most movie worthy of all the (3) versions that Paul got me for my birthday last year. Camera shots were great, Mary was a conciveable bitch and made a worthy transformation. And the costume that she wears at the end? That by it self could have done it for me....

::drooool:: Heirloom sewing.....

New rule! Screenings in Florida don't count!

I'm not quite sure what they're refering to as to sex in peter pan.

There was a vague maybeish hint of it in a couple scenes.... but nothing that doesn't happen on playgrounds in elementary schools every day.

It was a fun movie.

Apparently there are 'disturbing' undertones.

Apparently someone didn't read the book or watch the play....
there's nothing in the movie that I would classify as disturbing.

Those people are just cowardly wankers who need to get out of the house more I guess.

Like I said, didn't any of them actually read the book? Ah well.

Good for Roy. It's about time he grew a pair and wrested control of the company away from Herr Eisner. Words cannot describe the amount of contempt I have for the man, stemmed mostly from my time working for The Mouse in Florida, and built to a frothing rage when I learned that he was planning to shut down Disney's 2D studios. I hope Roy is successful in this, for Disney's sake.
