Entertainment things...
Nov. 11th, 2003 10:28 amOkay. I hadn't found much to talk about (more X3 rumors and assorted blah, blah, blah) until I found this on comingsoon.net:
The WB is close to making a pilot commitment to a new incarnation of Dark Shadows, the legendary ABC vampire series from producer Dan Curtis. Curtis is teaming up with John Wells to executive produce the new take on "Shadows," being developed by Warner Bros. TV and John Wells Productions for the 2004-05 season as a primetime drama.
Dark Shadows was a series that lasted for 5 years. It wasn't that bad, having watched some of it. It could be interesting... I might even say good. I just hope they don't go over the edge with it. Vampires can be great fodder for things but going the Blade route is really wrong here. Go mysterious.
Superhero Hype! reports that Frasier star David Hyde Pierce will voice the character of Abe Sapien in the upcoming Hellboy comic book adaptation from writer/director Guillermo del Toro. Doug Jones performed the part of Abe on the set, but the voice you will hear will come from Pierce. The trailer for Hellboy will be in front of The Missing.
