I'm going to do this now, in the hopes of not having distract me the rest of the day. Here's hoping.
The first and biggest news. The Original Trilogy (Star Wars) is coming out on DVD in September of next year. People asked me why I didn't post this yesterday. Well, there are a few reasons. One was, I was busy. Two was that I was thinking. There is nothing that says they'll be the Special Editions or the Original Editions or something else that Star Wars George puts together between now and then. There are hints there might be both. At the end of the new X-box game you get to see the Ewok Celebration complete with the Yub-Nub song - restored to pristine DVD quality. So, there is hope for it.
The trailers for Troy and Shrek 2 are up, the first at Yahoo and the second at Apple.
There has been a small flood of actors talking about X3. Ian McKellan says they'll do it and he'll play Magneto as long as he can and they want him. James Marsben says he wants to do it and has been interviewing hardcore comic book geeks about what they want to see on screen. He also says there is no script but a treatment. Shawn Ashmore says he can't wait - he wants to do it now, though it sounds like they'll be filming by next fall.
The first Clone Wars cartoon is this evening on Cartoon Network at 8!!!
There are a lot of stills coming out for Azkaban and there should be a trailer soon. The people who have seen it says it looks better than the first two. Of course with the maturing of the stories... That has to help.
Comfort and Joy looks like it will be a great episode of Justice League. Since it's only half an hour, they're going to follow it up with "Holiday Knights", one of my favorite Batman episodes.
There is stuff I'me hearing about the Underworld sequel and... It just doesn't sound all that great.
Orlando Bloom, Bill Paxton and Gabriel Byrne will star in Haven of two shady businessmen who flee to the Cayman Islands to avoid federal prosecution - igniting a chain reaction that leads a British native to commit a crime that changes the country. Orlando willl also co-produce.
Brian Cox has signed on to reprise his role from "The Bourne Identity" in the sequel.
Where is my VanHelsing trailer? C'mon guys.
