If this rumor is true I might just fall over and die, it's that good. 'Jimmy the Gent' sent in this rumor to Superhero Hype - "Friend of mine works at Shepperton Studios (set building) and just called me at work today to say John Malkovich and Dennis Quaid are in Batman: Intimidation Game- Ra's Al Ghul and Gordon respectively I thought." *shiver*

Have you heard the rumor that it will be (in many ways) "Gothamville" - a young Bruce Wayne to be contrasted with Ra's Al Ghul in many ways throughout the course of the film ... ?

I had not heard that. I've heard about the sets they're building, though. It isn't inapporpriate to compare and contrast Batman to Ra's, though.

I don't think it'd be inappropriate at all -- there are a number of interesting parallels that can be drawn between the two characters.

And the inclusion of Ra's as the "primary" villain should (ideally) mean we'll have a character film as opposed to an action film ...

Ideally.

I wouldn't mind it being both and with Christopher Nolan directing we can get both. Apparently the "secondary" villain will be entirely in the background and is rumored to be Scarecrow to set him up for another movie, in case Nolan wants to go there some time.

Which I think would be great. You'd never know what was real and what wasn't.
