I have so many movies I should see this weekend. I hope to fit in at least two. We'll see how that goes. Here is a reason that one of them will likely be Secondhand Lions.

Here is an excellent interview with The Rock.

There are two sequels (Well, a sequel and a prequel) planned for Underworld. Why am I not surprised by this?

Apparently Haunted Mansion is exactly what you would think it would be from the trailer. Very pretty but the rest is so much garbage.

Dragon's Lair is still being made into a movie. Sometime. Apaprently they are shopping distributors with it.

Fans of Hasbro, Inc.'s G.I. Joe brand can tune into Cartoon Network on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM ET/PT for a special airing of the much-anticipated G.I. Joe Spy Troops: The Movie. The ads looked cool enough. I'm tempted to Tivo it. It's going to be featuring Snake Eyes. I mean, c'mon. Snake Eyes.

Rutger Hauer!

There are severe rumors about another Jack Ryan being made, things pointing towards Red Rabbit as being that movie. They're looking for a new Jack Ryan aga as well - Tom Cruise and David Duchovny being bandied around as possible names.

Die Hard 4: The Z Review indicates Vin Diesel might be up for the villain role.

Yeah. It wasn't showing up strangely when I looked at it until now, which is even stranger. *ponders*

I'm reading Red Rabbit now and I like it. You get some background on some of the secondary spooks in Clancy's mythos. ;)
The Sum of All Fears did not do it for me as a book or movie. I mean it is very scary stuff, don't get me wrong. I gues I still love Clear and Present Danger as a novel. Although the Dragon and the Bear was pretty good. I am so sick of Ben Fookin' Affleck ... Cruise or Duchovny would be fascinating choices. The latter with the Super Mega Watt star power and the later with our hankering for Moulder-esque spook goodness.

Super Mike!!!

I haven't read Red Rabbit, I don't think. I kind of gave up after he made Jack Ryan President. I just.. It was almost too much.

yeah,

Jack should have never been made president... How do you go from being an outsider/maverick to being THE MAN??

Exactly. He was awesome being the guy who worked from the outside, seeing the things other poeple didn't. He makes a decent President in those books but I haven't really read much since then.

Red Rabbit is Jack around the time of Patriot Games, early 80's as he was just starting out in the Spook business. What's up with Clancy's latest Teeth of the Tiger, with Jack, Jr??? I know it's hard to please everyone, but sheesh. First, you make Jack the Prez, now you bring in his kid... *yawn*

I haven't read that one. Maybe I'll go pick up Red Rabbit and add it to the stupidly long list of books I need to read.

I haven't even looked at Teeth of the Tiger.
