Long ass weekend...
Sep. 4th, 2001 09:15 amIt was a good thing. Yes.
Friday : Saw Rat Race. Much funnier than I thought it would be. You sit there in stupefied horror for a lot of the movie because you can't believe they're making this joke. Hung out with Holly and after orientation at the SPCC we went to see Jay and Silent Bob. Heh. It was funny to be the only people there to catch the less obvious Star Wars jokes. Good movie. Not my favorite, but still a good movie.
Saturday : I sat around a lot that morning and yawned and tried to get out of be unsucessfully. In the end I went over to Steve's and watched all of Escaflowne in one sitting. I like it. I really like it. The only problem with it I have it like the last episode and a half. Lots of things really feel rushed and... well.... the easy way out of things. I have decided that I have another anime character that I adore. Allen Schezar. Mmmmmmmm..... *pauses a moment*
Okay.
Sunday : Another day where it was difficult for me to get out of bed. That's okay. It don't mind. I just need to get a bed frame and another set of sheets I think. The ones I have are still good, I just want another set. I also need to buy a papa-san for my computer chair and a whole bunch of pillows for a pillow pit and... Yeah. Lots of things on that list. Anyway, eventually I went to game. Damn. I think that was the best tabletop RP session I've had in ages. It was great. I've never so understood a neutral character before.
Monday : Got up, called people, left messages and at about 5:00, decided that I wasn't going to wait around for a phone call anymore. Before leaving I freaked out about not being able to find my checkbook and having to pay rent. Then I realized, duh, already done that. I walked the few blocks to Bumbershoot and had some food. Food good. There Joe found me. Yeah! Yeah Joe! We went to Hanna, a sort of ambient music group. Former lead singer of Sky Cries Mary - still kicking ass. Not my sort of music, but really good aynway. Then we hung out and walked around and listend to a DJ contest for a bit and then went to see Swamp Mama Johnson. Wow. I'm sad to say they're breaking up after 10 years, because they still have it. It was an amazing experience. Then we went to see Cake. Cake!!!! Cake-cakey-cake-cake. Good stuff.
This morning - Note to self: get to bus stop before 7:30 in order to get to work by 8:00.
Anyway. Must get some actual work done.
