So... Here I am...
Aug. 14th, 2003 01:21 amI am here. After a three hour flight to Minneapolis, three and a half hours there, a two and a half hour flight to Houghton/Hancock and then an hour drive to the farm, I am here.
I spent a good portion of my time in Minneapolis talking to my cousin Mark. I'd forgotten how much like Luke he looked (Luke looked like him?). That was a little weird for a few moments. He's living on several part time jobs in a suburb of Tokyo. It's very interesting talking to him. My family is all well travelled but he's the only one to really live out of the country.
I was filled in on some of the family stuff that is going on. Apparently my sister is trying to get into cooking school. I think that would go very well for her. It is an amazingly good school and it would do her very good to get out of here. It's expensive but as I'm fond of saying, if there is something you want to do, go for it. The money will come from somewhere. Does it matter if you're paying back loans later if you're happy?
I look to my right and see: D&D 3rd ed PHB, Priest's Spell Companion, AD&D 2nd Ed Complete Priest's Handbook, AD&D 2nd Ed PHB and a AD&D 1st Ed DMG. They're probably all my father's books.
Though my sister does play, my father is the one who plays priests.
I should try to go to sleep, but I am sore and achey, so I don't know how long sleep will be in coming.
That and my sister is still up watching anime on Cartoon Network, so I think I'll go join her and talk to her about this cooking school thing some more.
More later, I'm sure.
