Last night...
Jul. 29th, 2003 09:23 amSo, I got into work a little later. This meant I left work a little later. Of course, I was also working on something and getting over time, so I was later than I would have been anyway.
It was hot. Really hot yesterday.
That plus it taking an hour to get home before the time it took me to walk back to the house... I wasn't in the best mood when I got home.
It's been awhile since I've been in that place. I couldn't do anything and every failure brought me closer to emoptional collapse. I almost started crying because I couldn't find hamburger buns, though they were pretty obviously in the freezer. I had been unble to do what I wanted with Excel at work. My right shoulder was making clicky noises when I moved it. Other than that I was amazingly sore all over. I'm going to have to exchange the lovely net card Jim got for me since I don't have 2000 or XP... It was just one of those evenings where I wanted to collapse somewhere and bawl.
I didn't though. I trudged through it and came out okay on the ohter side for the most part. So anyone I snapped at or was pathetic towards, I appologize. It's been a long long time since I've been in that place. It's not pleasant at all.
On a more positive note, I'm going to get in shape living at the new house. I have to walk between a quarter and a half mile to the bus stop in the morning and then once it drops me off downtown it's another bit of a walk to where I work. I'd guess total I'm walking 3/4ths of a mile in the morning. I'm not sure about the evenings yet since I'm not sure what my normal route home will be.
Also, a small note, Aleve is great and bad at the same time. It relaxed me enough not to be in pain but it does strange things to my breathing. So the walk to the bus stop was interesting.
I need to get to work.
