They're re-releasing Sailor Moon onto DVD. Typically I wouldn't mention this but in this case I thought it was worth it. "A huge DVD collection of the uncensored original source for the breakout U.S. children's hit Sailor Moon. In this English-subtitled, Japanese-language release, ADV Films has returned to the original masters, which include mature content that was excised from the U.S. children's release, and the original graphic title treatment." I'd actually like to see that. Season One came out this week and Season Two is in September.

A reader at animationnation.com got a look at some Incredibles stuff. Not too much.

From USA Today: "Comic-Con International, which begins today in San Diego and runs through Sunday, draws 65,000 people a year — 5,000 of them producers, screenwriters and movie executives looking for the next big franchise in horror, animation and comic books. ... Hollywood didn't pay much attention to the convention until the mid-1970s, when directing legend and comic fan Frank Capra began showing up to talk superheroes. Since then, the convention has become as essential to studios as the Cannes Film Festival and the ShoWest exhibit for theater owners."

The script for Jurrasic Park IV is done. Hagar the Horrible might be a movie...

Andy Orjuela, producer of the Lady Death animated movie from ADV Films, told The Comics Continuum that it will be released on Oct. 30, 2004.

There will be lots of Comic Con stuff I will be posting here over the next few days.

And it looks like I have an interesting new friend. I don't agree with everything written there but the reviews are well written and insightful. Worth a look.
