Movie things.
Jul. 8th, 2003 08:27 amBrad Pitt is not signed for Captain America. It's a big rumor at the moment. There is no Cap movie planned atm.
Speilberg had apparently left Indy 4 and Sean Connery was wrong. Or something.
So... Other than that... Stuff:
Justice League begins its second season with "Twilight," a two-part episode that features Darkseid and airs Saturday at 10 p.m. Before that, there will be four episodes of Superman that feature Darkseid.
DC Comics is giving away a version of the cover art to Batman #616 by Jim Lee. To enter the contest, go to DCComics.com now and guess the correct identity of Hush. If your answer is right, you will be automatically entered for a chance to win this never-before-seen artwork. The correct answer will be revealed at a later date.
Don Cheadle will be directing Tishomingo Blues for his directorial debut. Sounds excellent. I recommend the book for thsoe that haven't read it.
Dino De Laurentiis is producing a new adaptation of The Decameron to be written and directed by David Leland. Wow. That will certainly be on my list of movies to watch. The Decameron is kind of like The Canterbury Tales.
Daily Record reports that Warner Bros. is looking to use locations for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for the fourth film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. At the moment Goblet of Fire /is/ going to be two movies. There doesn't seem to be a way around it.
On BBC One, James Cameron said he thought Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines turned out great. He doesn't think the same about Alien 3, however, but he's ready to change all that. He's looking into Alien 5, which would also be Alien 6 if done the way he wants to do it. The DVDs are coming out again with all of the never before seen stuff from Alien 3, over an hour of footage.
X2 is looking at a September/October release on DVD. Some possible details here...
