La la la la...
Jun. 30th, 2003 08:04 amOh. Pretty. Aragorn not nearly so greasy looking. Might have to change my desktop after Pirates.
Some possible Episode III spoilers. Maybe sometime I'll write out my general idea of a plot synopsis for Episode III.
Alexander the Great director Baz Luhrmann and producer Dino De Laurentiis friday met with the press in Sydney and dropped hints that the project will shoot in the New South Wales. Mel Gibson might play Alexander's father.
According to Screen Daily, director Terry Gilliam's $75 million Brothers Grimm starts its 17-week shoot in Prague Monday, with Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, Lena Heady, Peter Stormare and Jonathan Pryce starring. Robin Williams is no longer on board, and recent negotiations with Nicole Kidman for a small part failed to pan out.
The USA Today reports... Rowling drew gasps from the audience when she refused to reveal if Harry would survive the end of the series, which she has said will include two more books. "You have to wait and see whether he survives to be a grown-up," she said. "I'm not saying he won't, but I don't want to give anything away."
Spider-Man 2 trailers will be waiting until November. (And there are more lawsuits between Sony and Marvel.)
There are some very interesting rumors circling in the UK about a Captain America movie. "The inside word on the ultra-secret project is that a big name producer is poised to bring the star-spangled warrior to the screen. Brad Pitt has expressed [interest in] a 3-picture deal, establishing a new superheroic franchise. The trilogy would be loosely based on Mark Millar and Brian Hitch's acclaimed comic book The Ultimates, which successfully retooled the character for modern audience." They have to settle lawsuit issues with Cap's creator before anything happens.
This is interesting indeed. I would love X2 in September. That would work for me. DVDs normally release on Tuesday, though...
20th Century Fox has now scheduled Alien Vs. Predator for August 6, 2004 and The Fantastic Four for December 17, 2004.
Warner Bros. is looking to release Catwoman on July 30, 2004.
Variety writes ... New Line production prexy Toby Emmerich says he isn't concerned if the smash hits aren't immediately apparent. He's overseeing the development of a number of pics that have the potential to flutter balance sheets such as the His Dark Materials trilogy, "Shazam" and "Iron Man." All are earmarked for 2005 or later.
If you want to know about 1602, go look here. If you wish to remain spoiler free, do not look. You could go to look at the art work. Kubert's outdone himself. I find it interesting that this is a Marvel Knights title.
An episode of the fourth season of Static Shock will have Static meeting the future Batman from Batman Beyond, The Continuum has learned. Static will time travel to the future in the episode.
MTV has begun promoting its Spider-Man animated series, which debuts on Friday, July 11. (Must set Tivo. Love Tivo. Yeah Sean!)
