So, I came home last night with the best intentions of going to karate. I have noticed that sometimes life just gets in the way of these things. When a friend knocks on my door looking for advice, all previous plans can often times be thrown out the door. Its okay though. I really don't mind most times.

So instead of going to karate I went to the Phokus show. That was pretty cool. I helped haul things around and was a pseudo-grip for the evening. The food at the Rocker was good and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately the set went really late, so I am one tired Kat. Sleepy, sleepy.

The show was good, they keep getting better - a good thing indeed.

On a different note entirely...

I've been posed with a dilemma that is not a new one to me in the least. It's the dilemma of what to do when a friend of yours is doing something rather silly and it looks as though it won't turn out. The instinct to go over and yell at them, "You silly, silly person. Why aren't you trying to stop this badness which is decending upon you?" and shake them until they squeak. *grumble*

Anyway. I'm going to try to work now as silly as that may seem.

Damn, I wish I'd been able to go to the show. Per usual, this work schedule intereferes heavily with actually seeing anyone physically when I get home.

But that's as may be. I'll be there for the next one.

As a person who stands in front of trains often, I feel obligated to say that persons performing silliness are often cardinal learners and must learn by doing ... silly things.

The best defense is to give the person quotes from famous admirable people and hope they see the light. That worked on me once. Plus, I use it once in a while. Shhh! What I just told you is a trade secret, so you can't tell nobody.

Yeah. I know. I just hate the standing by and watching part.

Well, for example, I have this friend that doesn't like to keep it's true powers underwraps and hidden away because it doesn't feel it could resist the temptation to use it to harm other people. But, it repeatedly stated how it was "in control" and "the master" of it's skills.

I countered by quoting "When asked why he sleeps in the same bed as his 12-year old niece, the Dali Lama said 'to sharpen his resistance to temptation'."

My friend cocked it's head for a moment and thought ...

Hmmmmmm. Some people must do things which are silly. I know. I have been one of them.

Yeah, I don't have much room to talk right now, either.

The next time I'm drunk, remind me that Mark Hamill does NOT have a cute ass.

*chuckles* I don't mind at all. I kind of enjoy being a roadie/grip. It's cool. Dinner is entirely possible.
