Dear Lord. Will Disney learn? I hope so. It isn't the CG that is driving people to see the Pixar movies. It's the cute, witty, heartwarming stuff that has been there since they started with the desk lamp.

The Guardian Unlimited spoke with Christopher Lee about The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King: But the event that Lee seems to have set his sights on is next year's Academy Awards. "They can't not give awards to The Return of the King," he insists, still smarting from the way the previous two films were passed over on Oscar night. "When there were no best picture or best director awards for The Fellowship, I thought it was a disgrace. The other [nominated films] were good movies but they did not even compare. You can't compare anything to these films. You cannot compare it with Star Wars or the Matrix, which I didn't understand a word of. There will never be anything like it again. I am very lucky to in this late stage of my career to have worked with Tim Burton, Peter Jackson, George Lucas. I love to work and to be able to still be working is wonderful, after all how many roles are there for 81 year olds. It has been hard work but definitely worth it."

The Official Star Wars Site posted a trailer for their new feature, "Jump To Hyperspace". For a fee, you'll be given access to exclusive content including an Episode II deleted scene, behind the scene reports from the Episode III set, Clone Wars cartoon info, and more. A Quicktime trailer for this can be seen by visiting the link above. Lots of interesting things about Episode III starting to swirl around. Two years. I can do this no spoiler thing. Really.

Jessica Simpson tells MSN she's got a project lined-up: One woman who is definitely not in the running is singer Jessica Simpson. But she is managing to keep tight-lipped about playing the lead in the next big movie based on a popular Marvel Comics series. "I don't know if your everyday person would know it," she recently told reporters, "but I can tell you this -- it's not Wonder Woman." // Well, duh. Marvel. Lead Woman. Aren't many of those to begin with? Bets anyone?

Access Hollywood talked to Jennifer Garner about the Elektra movie: Jennifer: I think that there is something in the works to be made next summer, definitely. We still need to read the first draft of the script, and if it isn't great than none of us want to do it.

Milla Jovovich is making a run at something. We'll see how this one goes. I haven't liked much that she's done, honestly. 5th Element is it, I think.

Okay, I like the look for this Spider-Man MTV is producing. I'm not sure how it will look animated, though. It looks like something between comic book and animation art. Why is Harry all transparant?

Later in my journal, movie plans for tomorrow! Stay tuned!
