Not too much today.
May. 23rd, 2003 09:30 amNew Lara Croft trailer is up. And you know what? It looks better than the first one by a level of magnitude. I'm up for it. (Angelina... Mmmmmm.)
Joss on bringing Spike into Angel: "The trick is how to bring him back without losing the integrity of what he did... the sacrifice. If it's just, "Hey, I'm back!" then that whole moment at the end of Buffy is kind of lame now. Like Buffy returning from the dead, it's going to be something that we're going to have to earn and play the ramifications of, possibly without making it so depressing." There is more of this at TV Guide. Apparently SMG is all about the cameos as well.
Some more details for Return of the King. Spoilers and such. Still filming Gollum pickups.
Go read the stuff for 1602 here. Down the page a little. Typical Neil Gaiman.
SUPREME POWER #1 Written by J. Michael Straczynski, pencils and cover by Gary Frank. This might be worth looking into.

Date: 2003-05-23 10:43 am (UTC)It looks like Angelina Jolie does LESS stunts in this one than in the previous.
Or they didn't show ALL the stunts in the trailer.
That, and they are falling into the same pattern as the games did - "It worked once, let's just change the names & places and do the same plot & storyline all over again!"
It will be fun to see, but it probabally won't have the impact the first one did.

Date: 2003-05-23 11:02 am (UTC)Dolphins, underwater, "throwing" knives . . .
Then there's oubvious stuntperson work - jumping to the heli, glide jumping, bungee jumping off a building, etc.
Then there's the wannabe stunts of flying that plane and so on.
I liked the first one becase it was all RATHER believable stunts. Oh, well.

Date: 2003-05-23 11:18 am (UTC)Possibly? My brain twitches painfully at the thought that there could even be anything else so depressing.
And, um... hi! I like your LJ! ::lamely wanders back into woodwork::
