Pack full of goodness...
May. 19th, 2003 08:28 amThe Ducks are going to the Stanley Cup finals. Wow. It's cool in a really strange sort of the world is ending sort of way.
Had a great dinner at Claimjumper. Saw some excellent movies.
Hero - Gorgeous. I must see it when it comes out on screens here in November. The pacing is very, very strange but the entire movie is languid and beautiful. Even the fighting scenes, though they are amazingly cool, have this unrushed peacful feeling about them.
Secretary - I wanted a little more of the transition, the making of what these two people become. Other than that it was lovely. I couldn't stop grinning. There is a whole lot of sex in this movie - except that there really isn't at all until the end of the movie. There is a sort of surreal feeling to it all. And I loved that she had to go through the doors sideways in the begining of the movie.
Game yesterday. Wow. Okay. I realized some interesting things about my character. She is very, very, very frightningly practical. Except it is the practical of a twelve and a half year old. Sometimes she just doesn't know what to do and freaks out. The part that seems strange to me is that she doesn't seem to feel much very deeply. All of it is very surface. It also makes it so she can flit from one thing to another very excitedly because she doesn't have to invest a lot of herself in it. I think I'm starting to understand but it is a really odd mindset.
