The official Star Wars website reports that Star Wars: Episode III will further connect the Star Wars saga, bridging the prequel trilogy to the original trilogy in new and surprising ways. Familiar faces and places will return in the new film, which is currently in pre-production. Reprising their classic roles from the original trilogy are actors Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker. They return to Star Wars as Chewbacca the Wookiee, C-3PO and R2-D2.
Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days, starring Jim Broadbent and Jackie Chan and directed by Frank Coraci, started on Tuesday in Germany's historic Babelsberg Studios outside of Berlin. Check out Jackie Chan's diary if you want to know more.
The Terry Gilliam-helmed Brothers Grimm will start filming in Prague on June 30, says Variety. The 17-week shoot films through October 23 at Barrandov and on location in the Czech Republic. Heath Ledger and Matt Damon are slated to play German authors Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm as traveling spellbusters, claiming to protect townsfolk from enchanted creatures until they come face to face with a real magical curse. The cast for this movie is crazy.
Hugh Jackman believes the X-Men movies could end up having a cinematic life with a longevity like that of James Bond. While Jackman says he may do another sequel, depending on the success of X-Men 2, it will likely be the last time he battles the bad guys in the series based on the Marvel comic.
And I like where they're going with Spider-man. Sam Rami is great. Peter let MJ go. Yep, yep.
The cover for the newest issue of Batman is chilling. Jim Lee draws the Joker very, very well. Looking at the first few pages of this, I cannot wait to get my hands on this. Oooooooooh. And the people writing JLA make me happy but I think I want to smack the artist.
