My weekend ruled. I sepnt Friday at home relaxing. Brian ended up coming over much later than planned, but it was still good to hang out with him and Sean. We had some really good pizza. (I like the big mushrooms on my pizza.) Talked about disfunction and issues. Anyone who says they don't have issues ir lying or that /is/ their issue. Relating to others that point would be strange at best.

Saturday was great. Woke up, played some more of my Civ III game. (Soooo addictive.) Then we went to see Cowboy Bebop the movie. So good. I love it. I want to buy it on DVD as soon as I can to watch some of it over and over again. Of course, I should buy the rest of the series.... Anyway. We didn't meet up with people which was unforunate, but understandable.

I scored so many geek points on Saturday. Sean gave me an amazing birthday present. Two boxes of comic books that his mother had found at a garage sale. I went through them not expecting nearly what I found. There was a first appearance of Gambit which by istelf is worth more than what his mom paid for them. There was Iron Man 3, Spider-Man 39, Avengers something really low, first appearance of Rogue as an X-man... all in pretty good shape. I was amazingly floored. Not that selling comics is all that profitable all of the time, but... You never know. Perhaps someday. For now, I will hold on to them. Mike got me a picture of Boba Fett. Signed. To me. From Jeremy Bulloch. Boba Fett. So awesome. "I'm over here." Hee hee hee. I can't even explain how awesome. There is also a poster from him, but I haven't opened it yet to look. Skau gave me a mixed CD which is quite quality. It has become my new cd for listening to at work. I can always use new things to listen to at work. Always. If I didn't say thank you to any of you at the time, I'm very sorry. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Thank you for everyone coming to the party who did. It was an excellent party. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel very loved. Though we may have summoned an Elder God with the birthday song. "Happy Birthday ablkjartoihjaoij..." since everyone said the names in a different order. I can just imagine something, somewhere going, "What? Happy Birthday to Me? I can't believe anyone remembered.... I should go join the party." I'll let you know if the zombies start rising.

So... Sunday. We went to see Cowboy Bebop again with people from the party who wanted to see it. Still just as good the second time. This is a good sign for movies I want to own. Then we all piled into the car and went to game. Game was good, if frustrating in character. The poor girl. She really doesn't have a clue what is going on, though I can see it. Oi. Maybe time to listen to some Les Mis today.

When you say "Iron Man #3" you mean the relaunch, right? Cause if it was the silver age issue from the 60's that would be pretty amazing. Not to mention the old Spiderman...

The first Rogue X-men issue was pretty great stuff. I remember that. :-)

There are comics in there that are ancient. I've looked at the cover for the Silver Age Iron Man 3 and that isn't what I have but it is far too old to be the '96 restart.

The Spider-Man is priced (Not mint or near Mint, but just Fine) at around $250.00.
