Five-time Academy Award nominee Peter Jackson will direct King Kong for Universal Pictures. Universal Pictures will release King Kong worldwide in 2005.
Damn Episode Three spoilers. Two years before the movie. AAAAAAAAAAHHHH. I don't know if I'm going to make it. No. I'm not looking.
South Park co-creators and executive producers Trey Parker and Matt Stone have re-upped with Comedy Central in a two-year renewal that will keep them and their animated series anchored to the network through at least 2005, says The Hollywood Reporter.
A short thing from Joel Schumacher about Batman:
Q. You were brought aboard to overhaul the "Batman" franchise because supposedly Tim Burton's version was too dark, right?
A. They said "Batman Returns" ended it--I don't know, people returned the toys, and they hated it or something. And then we made it a big hit again with "Batman Forever." Now they say I ruined it with "Batman and Robin." But you know what? Batman's been around since 1939. He will kick ass in Gotham again, trust me.
Q. With you at the helm?
A. [Laughing] No, no, with someone younger and more talented, I'm sure.
KYNA!!! - Kelloggs in the UK have now started to give away X-2 'dog tags' in their cereal boxes. The tags are metal and there are 5 to collect : 'x-men' with the X logo, Magneto with magnetic force curves, Rogue with a thumb print, Wolverine with the 3 claw mark slashes, Storm with lightning bolts, and Cyclops with his visor shape on it. Each tag comes inside a collectors card with the characters photo from the movie on the front.
Music from the Movies reports that composer Mychael Danna has been dropped from scoring The Hulk. The scheduled sessions in April will no longer take place. Superhero specialist Danny Elfman (Spider-Man) is now scheduled to replace and score the picture. -- Cutting that a little close aren't we?
I won't torture you with Edward Furlong talking about who 'dope' the Fourth Crow movie is going to be. It makes me want to gag.
Composer John Ottman told The Continuum that his score for X2 will be released by Superb Records. Ottman, who is both scoring and editing the X-Men sequel, is reuniting with director Bryan Singer on the film. They had worked together on The Usual Suspects and Apt Pupil.
Cartoon Network released the schedule for X-men Evolution and Justice League and Batman and all of that, as in what they're showing when. I should set the Tivo to record Batman, too. Mmmmmm.
