So... I want to win a copy of the X-men 1.5 DVD. Help me come up with a unique mutant power. (Or try to win it yourself, if you want.)

Harry Potter 3 is filming in London. Check out the Knight Bus if you want.

The latest Top Cow project announced is On A Pale Horse, based on the Piers Anthony novel and with Jamie Foxx attached to star for Disney. Top Cow will be producing a graphic novel adaptation of the novel sometime late 2003 or early in 2004 with a yet-to-be-determined creative team. Also in development are Fathom with James Cameron, Rising Stars at MGM, Inferno at Warner Bros. and The Cleaner with John Woo at MGM.

And that's all I have for the moment. Maybe more later.

On a Pale Horse? Really. That could be pretty damn cool.

putting Jamie Foxx in that movie is a strange move... and I've heard that he is supposed to be an insurance salesman in the movie... which I don't remember being the case from the novel, which is a great read...

what really interests me is that magic exists in that world even though it's kind of present day, the main character buys a few magic items at the begining of the book, I wonder if they'll keep that or not, because I could see them dropping that aspect...

unique power????

I don't know if there are any good ideas left.....

:P

How about the ability to stick to any surface you're standing on (kinda like the idea of "nothing moves the Blob!!!" but make it more tied to the mutant power.)

You would be able to stay attached to anything you can get both your feet on, and detach at will. Perhaps even walk like that, but maybe not.

New, but rather useless....

;-)

How could you drop the magic aspect of On a Pale Horse? That's the entire point of the book?

Oooooooooooooooooh!

I'm not saying that you should, in fact I would hate it if they did, but if you just make a movie about a guy who kills death and then has to take his place... you wouldn't necessarily need magic... at least not to the extent that it is shown in the book, for example, they could cut the item that allows the finding of a true love, or the deathstone gem, or the item that ensures you will never go without money or anything else from that magic shop in the first chapter... admitedly it would be a different story... but it's not like Hollywood hasn't done that kind of thing before...

Gravitic singularity creation and control. You can create a small black hole with an event horizon about the size of a golf ball, and move it around at high speed - within your line of site. When you stop focusing on it, the black hole collapses in on itself, disappearing from this universe.

This would be a stunning visual effect in comic or movie form. The simplest application would be an extremely lethal attack, although it could also be used for a variety of other effects, with control.

I meant that question to mean more along the lines that I couldn't picture it...

The book to me is much more about the universe than the plot... then again I'm still mad about The Postman so anything's possible I suppose/

Hello? Ever hear of a chap named Spider-Man? Sure he's not a mutant, but close enough.
