So starts the Matrix hype... "A massive multimedia campaign begins today on the Net with the release of a new animated short film set in The Matrix universe. Three additional shorts will be posted free on the Web over the next three months at www.thematrix.com.

Your first chance to jack into The Matrix world arrives today with the free download of The Second Renaissance: Part One, a nine-minute widescreen short. The segment is directed by Mahiro Maeda, who directed the Japanese animated series Blue Submarine No. 6."

Paul Dini (Batman Beyond) is pushing for a Metal Men cartoon. That could either be really cool or really lame....

Marvel Encyclopedia 2: X-Men, a hardcover featuring information on more than 350 characters from the 40-year-old comics series is coming out before the movie. Oooooooooo.

And as for me, I just saw the window washer guy on the building across from me let go of the edge. I about had a heart attack before I realized why he didn't fall.

There's a Daredevil trailer on our tivo (the one that shows him as a kid), and also a behind-the-scenes thingy. You can see them both from the main menu.

*nods* I saw the news about that. Have to check it out when I get home. There will be a flaming billboard starting Thursday in California.

Where in Cali? Will it still be there on 2/14?

Head for Laurel and Sunset (above Gaucho Grill). It should still be there then.
