It comes as little surprise that Birds of Prey has been cancelled. There are no more episodes ordered and they aren't sure if they're going to finish the thirteen that have been ordered.

Having seen the cover for the JLA a few months down the line, I can say I was completely wrong as to who I thought would stay and go. Well, not completely, but mostly. It's interesting looking.

I don't have much else. Need to get something to drink and start really working.

I will tell you after it happens, my dear. I would not want my non-spoiler wanting friends to have to lynch me.

it's almost kind of a relief actually... I watched every episode and while there were things I liked, I felt more obligation to watch it out of comic book loyalty than for reasons of actual enjoyment...

and yet, having said that... I will still miss it... not for what it was, but rather, what it could have become... Following along the path of The Flash, Nightman, and now Birds of Prey... we're getting closer to making this superhero thing on TV work...

Good concept? Perhaps you can explain that bit to me. I was Not Impressed as soon as I heard the concept.

*nods* I actually liked the Flash tv show.

I understand. I liked parts of it and there were some great ideas there. Now I can ignore the wretched Shiva episode coming up, but I might watch it anyway because I'm just like that.

I liked The Flash too... but I'm biased because he's my favorite...

Seems like good news to me, from the perspective of a Firefly fan who didn't want WB doing anything to weaken that show.

I'm somewhat dissapointed, but the show did deserve to die.

Living spoiler free is difficult.

*laughs*

It can be. I don't mind spoilers too much. Typically it just inhances my enjoyment because it adds a keener edge of anticipation to see exactly how things are going to be pulled off.

I can understand how it would ruin things for others, though, so I try not to be too blatantly spoilery here. Or put it behind a cut.

I can see that but it does reduce the potential shock value though. My favorite thing though was when the DC Comics website put up a spoiler that was a lie (Max Mercury was going to die) for an upcoming issue of Impulse. I read it by mistake and when I actually got the comic I had to reread it twice to make sure that I didn't miss something.

*nods* That's great too. I like trying to figure out what's really out there and what isn't. It makes it more interesting as well. See, I think all of these companies could start this information war with the fake stuff and the real stuff out tehre so no one would know what was what.

I would love to do that job.

There was a theory that record execs should fight napster that way. Make a gazillion fake tracks that were labelled like the real ones and frustrate people looking for downloads. That would be a weird job.

Yeah. That wouldn't have been as cool, I don't think. That and it would be much harder to do for music than it would for movies or comics.
