Well, they're trying to find someone to cast as Helen for Troy. Who could be Helen when Brad Pitt is Achillies? Apparently they're looking for someone who is "20 on a scale of 1-10."

They're making the story Cassanova into a movie. That will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Apparently there you need to stay through the credits of the new Harry Potter movie. Something funny at the end.

Rumors are flying as to who is going to be cast as Doc Ock for Amazing Spider-Man. Flying all over the place. Also interesting rumors about exactly *which* role Bruce Campbell has been cast for....

Sources say that Bird of Prey is likely not getting picked up by the WB.

Stan Lee is threatening to sue Marvel Comics. Not entirely surprising to me though I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Well, that's kind of complicated. It comes down to the fact that all of these movies being made from characters he created? Because of the way he was employed when he did that, he doesn't get any of it. He says that according to the new contract he signed with Marvel in 98 (when he came back after they declared bankruptcy and all of that) that he's due some of it. Marvel says that they pay him $1 million a year and that should be enough.

I'm a little confused about the suing thing as well.

As for Bruce Campbell and Spiderman, IMDB has him listed as "The Lizard".

Your guess is as good as mine. ^_^;

Yeah. I don't trust that one because anyone can send something to IMDb and get it put up there. It means nothing.

Exactly. I've not seen anything elsewhere with rumors, and apparently he didn't talk about it at the signing, either.

Oh well. It'll be cool no matter what. :)

I'm ambivalent too.

Spider-Man took in somewhere in the neighborhood of $350 million dollars. Stan Lee is suing for 10% of movie proceeds, so he would in theory, get $3.5 million.

He gets paid a cool million a year. Not to mention any monies he gets from guest-starring in movies, speaking, and his stock portfolio.

How much money does Mr. Lee need? Is he buying Latvaria from Doom?

That's about what I thought. How much money do you need? Yes, I feel he should get something because he created Spider-man, but... Yeah. I'm pretty u[ in the air about it.

Eh. It's not like he's getting utterly shafted like Shuster and the other guy were.
