So the next trick in my string of stupid human tricks...

I almost set myself on fire last night. Yeah me! I was refilling my lighter and didn't notice that I had put in a little too much fluid. I closed it and put it back in and lit it and *FWOOSH*! It was one of those scene I'm sure would have been really funny in a movie. It was quickly, "I have to find a place to put this before I drop it on the carpet and set it on fire". Not one of my more brilliant moments, I must admit. I ended up only with a blister on my right thumb and some places that are really heat sensative. I took proper care of them and if I had been clueless, Tim made sure I was alright. Thanks, Tim.

It was one of those times where I was feeling really stupid. It's great when friends go, "Oh no. That wasn't stupid. Did I ever tell you about the time I....?" I heard some amusing stories last night.

And I'm not nervous. Oh no. I'm just fine. Coffee was a good idea this morning. I'm not jumpy. I'm just fine.... I'll be on an airplane this time tomorrow.

Must make list of things to take.. hate forgetting things.

heh...that's great. Every smoker has set themselves on fire at least once.

I not only spilled lighter fluid on the outside of my lighter, but also on my hand and didn't notice. When I went to light a cigarette immediately after, the lighter as well as my hand burst into flames. I screamed bloody murder and threw the lighter down...frantically trying to put the fire on my hand out.

Luckily, it only burned up the fluid, and didn't burn my hand at all...it just scared the shit out of me for about 5 minutes. Once my heart began to beat again, I nearly fell over I was laughing so hard.
