The Pajama Bowl is a charity event hosted by the Sleep Country Foster Kids Program to raise money and awareness for local foster kids. Teams of five participants raise money and have fun bowling in their pajamas to benefit local non-profit foster organizations. 100% of the donations are used to provide foster kids with important necessities and resources such as clothing, tutoring, summer camps, and counseling.

Team Nachos! will be participating this year, and armed with Guido, Diane, and Lola, we intend to Take Over the World!

Alternately, we'd like to raise some money for local non-profit foster care agencies.

Here is a list of the Washington non-profit foster care agencies who will be recipients of the money, and their plans for the funds that they will be receiving:
http://www.pajamabowl.com/about/WAagencies.html

Donations can be made one of three ways:

1) Hand over cash monies to one of the participants. That would be me, Kris or Ben. If there is a particular agency on that list that strikes your fancy, you can write out the check directly to them.

This can be done via Paypal, Amazon Payments, check, or cash. Email address for Paypal and Amazon is lithera (at) gmail. Please note what it is for and if there is a specific direction you'd like it to go.

2) Donate online. That can be taken care of here: http://www.pajamabowl.com/donate/ -- please be sure to earmark it as being for the team named Nachos!.

3) Donate by mail. The form for filling out can also be found here: http://www.pajamabowl.com/donate/. Again, make sure to write in the team name Nachos!, and our team captain is Ben Messina.

Any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated, and by donating you will gain love, appreciation, and hugs from all Team Nachos! participants.

(If you can be swayed more easily with offers of delicious baked goods, please let us know. Though really, isn't the offer of love, gratitude, and hugs enough?)

Soooo....

I'm going to India again for work in May. I'm starting that whole travel vaccinations thing and so on and so forth...

The real question is, should I go east or west to start?

I've pretty much made up my mind that I'm going to go all the way around this time since the difference between directions is minimal. Really, when I'm going to be flying for a minimum of 22 hours anyway, I might as well go for it.

I might even be able to do it all in airports I've never been in before.

Yes.

I like weird things.

Shut up.
