Mar. 10th, 2010

My mother sent me a copy of the L'anse Sentinel because there is a feature on my grandparent's house because it is over 100 years old. If you move down the page a bit, you can get a picture of it. If you click through news there is a small section of the story there. I wish the whole thing was up there, as my grandfather is hilarious. I also wish they had a better webdev.

My sister's birthday present arrived. Hooray! So, anyone thinking of getting me FFXIII for my birthday, totally try something else. I have part of Kris' present purchased and on the way. Her present to me was awesome. She got me this lovliness. I need to make a trip to the framer's soon as I have things that need frames, including that.

I have NO idea what to get Holly.

I am at the end of Bonehunters (6th Malazan Book of the Fallen) and it seems as though everyone has enacted their crazy bastard plans at exactly the same time. My list of beloved characters grows perilously thin, as people either turn into bastards or die.

I think that's it right now. I might well be over committed timewise but, well, I don't see anything I want to cut back on. It is what it is.

ECCC this weekend! HOORAY!
Thanks for the push, Sharon.

So, the SWC (Seattle Women's Chorus) has a number of shows coming up, some smaller, some larger. There are tickets on sale for most of them. We'll be singing Sondheim and Bernstein, so if you're a fan, I recommend it!

March 22nd at 7:00pm - http://www.5thavenue.org/show/SpotlightNightforOntheTownandCandide0910/ We're the ending performance of the second act.

April 10 at 2:00 pm - Free Children's Concert at McCaw Hall. I'm not sure what, exactly, we're going to be singing here but my guess is Berstein as the Sondheim we have isn't really kid stuff. Anyway, if you have a child and you're interested, tickets are here: http://www.flyinghouse.org/swc/childrens/

April 22nd at Noon - City Hall concert, most Bernstein festival stuff, I believe. This will also be short, likely a song or two.

June 20th - 3PM in Tacoma! - Most of the show in practice taken a bit on tour for those who don't get to Seattle as regularily. Tickets are available here: http://www.broadwaycenter.org/

June... I'm not sure. There will also be a Bellingham show like the Tacoma show above. I can't find any details on it and my schedule is at home.

June 25 & 26 at 8PM - McCaw Hall - The full concert with the SMC as well. Tickets are available here: http://www.flyinghouse.org/swc/gabg/
