I listened to large chunks of this in the car last night and I really liked what it was he had to say. I must say that I'm interested in reading his book as well.
I have a lot of thoughts right now but nothing I think is really worth sharing at the moment. I feel like I need to find my footing.

Sep. 25th, 2009 07:28 pmDeadline Hollywood is reporting that MGM is needing $20M in short-term cash flow to cover overhead as well as an additional $150 million to get through the end of year to stay out of bankruptcy and possibly losing such franchises such as The Hobbit and James Bond. Ouch.
Rob Liefeld has apparently seen the storyboards for the live action Green Lantern. It seems that over a third of the movie will be on Oa. HOORAY!
The word is that the third season of True Blood will have werewolves all over the place.
The Warner Bros.' remake of A Star is Born seems to be moving forward once again.
Columbia Pictures has picked up the rights to He-Man! Never fear! That movie might end up happening after all!
Here is an update on the Marvel properties and where they're at, in case you were wondering: Fox has the most irons in the fire right now. They are rebooting “Fantastic Four”, mobilizing a “Wolverine” sequel and several “X-Men” spinoffs, quietly moving a new version of “Daredevil” forward and trying to get a Silver Surfer film going. Sony recently hired someone to write the fifth and sixth installments of “Spider-Man”. Paramount continues as distributor for “Iron Man 2” and is expected to have “Thor” and “Captain America" as well. Universal is continue work on “Sub-Mariner,” which is going no where fast. Columbia is seemingly getting a "Ghost Rider 2" movie going.
The Wrap reports that Walt Disney Pictures has put David Mamet's The Diary of Anne Frank into turnaround because it is "too dark". One wonders what they thought they'd be getting but I have to say that they probably weren't expecting "a pro-Israel exploration of anti-Semitism movie set in contemporary times".
David Cronenberg is developing a remake of his classic The Fly, which was already a remake to begin with.
There is a live action Barbie movie coming. Okay. Tada.
