Something witty. See? Witty.
Aug. 21st, 2009 02:41 pmSaw an ad for Whiteout. It'll be interesting to watch it. Looking forward to it.
I'm pondering going to see District 9 tonight.
Karl Urban will be joining the cast of the TokyoPop film adaptation Priest as Black Hat.
At the end of a Variety article about Bryan Singer's upcoming obligations as a director and producer, it's mentioned that he is "flirting with directing 'X-Men: First Class'". He's also going to be doing an Excalibur remake.
Catherine Hardwicke is signing on to direct Appian Way's The Girl With the Red Riding Hood. That's the 'gothic Red Riding Hood' that they're making.
Fox is making a movie of Marmaduke. I'm starting to see casting for that, starting with Judy Greer.
"Warehouse 13" has been renewed for a second season.
Black Swan is... ummmm... an interesting sounding movie. Natalie Portman stars as a ballerina who sees a rival in Mila Kunis' character, a woman who may or may not be real. And apparently there is "ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex" between them at some point.
Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island has been pushed back to early 2010. This is interesting as people have already been talking about it for Oscars. It sounds like Leonardo DiCaprio wouldn't be able to do publicity for it in October so they moved it to February so he can get out there and push it.
