Warner Brothers is planning on making a Captain Blood remake. I'm not against that at first glance but they're going to set it in the future. This was mentioned awhile ago but for some reason I didn't mention it. Today, however, comes the news that they're planning on making a movie set in a dystopian future London, where a band of thieves are planning on restoring hope to the dowtrodden citizens.... Yeah. That's right. Future Robin Hood, too.

Hrmmmm.

Michael Hogan will ALSO be on DollHouse. Seriously, Joss, are you trying to give EVERYONE from BSG a job? I don't specifically mind but we're up to three now. I don't think he'll be around too much as he'll be a client.

The 1994 "Spider-Man" animated series is becoming a weekly online series at Marvel.com. They're starting to get a lot of good stuff up there.

It seems there have been writers hired for Mission Impossible IV. They're Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec. These two spent four seasons with J.J. Abrams as co-exec producers of "Alias" and created "October Road" as well as the U.S. version of "Life on Mars".

A Barbarella remake is coming. I would like this to be a remake in the style of Battlestat Gallactica. Seriously, I would like a badass female assassin but with Rose McGowan attached (Barbarella AND Sonja, really?) I don't think we'll get it.

Paris Hilton will guest star in the October 8th episode of "Supernatural" and will be sticking around for four more episodes.

Ridley Scott wants to make Brave New World into a movie. I could get behind that. First an Alien prequel and now this? Hrmmmm.

Peter Berg (directed Hancock and Friday Night Lights) wants to make a new Dune saying he has 'a different relationship with the book' than David Lynch did.

Rumor is on Brave and the Bold Julie Newmar will be voicing Martha Wayne and Adam West will be Thomas Wayne. Can I tell you how that makes my heart go pitter pat?

This trailer for The Vampire's Assitant is the best cure for my feelings about the Twilight movies I could imagine - http://www.latinoreview.com/news/the-vampire-s-assistant-trailer-doesn-t-suck-7629

This featurette on the Surrogates is cool - http://www.wired.com/video/latest-videos/latest/1815816633/exclusive-video--robotech-in-surrogates/31270430001 And wow, does this make a past character of mine sit up in my head and wave her hands. Lag time would be a serious bitch.

Joss Whedon says they're working on a Dr. Horrible sequel. I'm not too sure how I feel about that considering the ending. I was with you for the first two parts, man.

It looks like DiCapprio's Appian Way company is looking to make a Red Riding Hood movie. (The word Gothic is being mentioned and in Hollywood that usually makes me twitch.) I'm not at all sure how I feel about this one either. There is a lot of interesting metaphor here and a lot of potential ground to cover but at the same time... Red Riding Hood? Please don't make her some sort of strung out hooker, okay?

There is an Edgar Allen Poe movie coming where Poe has been reimagined as a serial killer investigator. "The Raven meets se7en" is how it is being described. "WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOX?" That's about all I have to say about that.

So, awhile ago, I mentioned that there was a P. T. Barnum movie being made. Right. Okay, he's an interesting historical figure.... It has changed up a bit since I mentioned it last. It will now be a musical. And will star Hugh Jackman. Well. Lemme just buy a ticket now, okay?

Where The Wild Things are final trailer. This movie won my heart over at Comic Con.
I heard from Kris via text message.

She's at her parents house sleeping. I don't have much in the way of details but I'm gathering the surgery went well and she'll be spending the next few days sleeping and recovering with lovely pain killers.
