Trying to balance it all.
Jun. 4th, 2009 10:00 amDavid Carradine died and it looks like suicide. Koko Taylor also died from complications related to a hospital stay. Those both make me sad.
In other news, I've noticed that buying a house is sort of like what being pregnant is like (as it has been described to me.) You announce you're buying a house and suddenly everyone is all up in your business, giving you suggestions and advice and telling stories about what it was like when they did it and trying to tell you what you should be doing. At least I'm not wearing a sign that says I'm buying a house, which would be the final stage in the comparison. The strangest part is that most other people seem more stressed out about it than I am. I'm looking at houses and if I find one I like, I'll put in a bid on it. I'm not in a specific rush to buy right now, OMG! My lease isn't up until December and if I could find a way to not end up paying for breaking it, I'll be happier. I'm going out looking at some more houses tonight and maybe I'll see something. Maybe I won't. Maybe it is that where I would like to live, I'm not able to be approved for the houses I would like. Don't know. There are opportunities out there, certainly.
In slightly less grumpy news, I still like Wolfram Alpha.
