Woah!

Today Harmonix announced Lego Rock Band. Usually, I'd be only a little thrilled about this but the songs man, the songs. Blur's "Song 2", Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting", and Europe's "The Final Countdown" have all been pre-announced. That alone is worth consideration for this game.

Yesterday you got Green Lanterns. Today, you get Red: http://dcublog.dccomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/bnln_redlant.jpg And Rufles the Rage Kitty, actually has a name. Check that out.

And... A bunch of people are freaking out about Emma in the Wolverine movie. Look, 1st, go catch up with the last 5 or 6 years of comics. Yes, she can turn into diamond now. 2nd, it is already seriously screwed up that she's even in this movie timeline wise, so breathe. 3rd, recently she's been a good guy (though that's changed recently, I'm given to understand) so being with this team, not so surprising. CHILL OUT, people. It isn't as if backstories and origins (especially for Mr. I'm in every comic ever Wolverine) aren't changed now and again. Sometimes you need to do that for movies or catching up with the fact that the character's last appearance was in the 60s or any number of other reasons.

Now, if you want to argue that it was done poorly and uncaringly, those arguements are different. The fact that someone changed something at all... Ehn. These things need to be a little fluid. You can't hold EVERYTHING that ever happened to a character in mind when you have 20+ years of back story. The more time that passes the more flexible you as a reader have to be about it. Deal.
So, I have Japanese class on Friday, so I want to go see this on Saturday.

Anyone have an preferences as to a time? It is at the Regal Meridian at 11:45am 2:20 4:55 7:30 10:05.

Let me know if you have a preference at all.

Nice article by him in the new Wired about spoilers and the "Age of Immediacy" as he calls it.
