GAH!

NBC is moving Kings from Sunday to Saturday, which is akin to putting it on a desereted island and wondering why no one stops by to say hello anymore. It isn't cancelled but, really, that's the slot of viewer abandonment.

On a (somewhat) non-entertainment note, it seems that the first US container ship was seized by Somali pirates. And then the sailors took it back a few hours later. Does that not scream TV-movie or plot of a season of 24? I mean, c'mon.

IESB is reporting a rumor that The Weinstein Company's Dimension Films has let the film rights for Sin City 2 expire. Interesting stuff in that it looks like, if the movie is made, it will be made with money from private backers.

IESB ALSO says Gary Oldman was spotted on the set of Iron Man 2. His agent says he didn't at all visit, no way, not at all. Who knows?

It seems that Terrence Howard wants to play Black Lightning and mentions that he might be interested in John Stewart but knows they're not really near them bringing him to the screen yet. That's all totally cool by me.

Sony is planning on making a Shadow of the Colossus movie. I never played that one but I saw that it was pretty. Anyone have an opinion on the movie possibilities there?

Michael Bay says that Devastator will be in IMAX. Which... might get me to watch Transformers 2 in IMAX. I don't really plan on seeing it more than once.... Hrm.

Variety says Universal Pictures is planning to make Umbrella Academy the first project to come out of its three-year deal with Dark Horse Comics. I love Umbrella Academy. It is wacky and awesome and... I love it but I have NO idea how well it would do as a movie. It seems too... left field for it to translate well. Still, I'm excited for them to try. And if you like comics and haven't read this stuff, go pick up a trade already!

Variety also says that Gore Verbinski is going to direct the Bioshock movie instead of trying to tackle Pirates 4, which I really think is the right decision.

“Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?” will be adapted into a 24-issue comic book series by publisher Boom Studios. They're doing a lot of good stuff these days. Go pick up an issue of The Muppet Show. It reads like the show, which I didn't think was possible. I can hear the voices in my head. Warren Ellis will be providing "backmatter" for each issue - hooray!

And... I think that's it for now.
