More Books!
Feb. 8th, 2008 10:50 amMore books I've read in 2008:
6 - Confessions of a Master Jewel Thief by by Bill Mason and Lee Gruenfeld. Very, very interesting. A lot of being a cat burglar is apparently luck and being able to look at a situation in ways other people don't. Very interesting. There were a few very very touching moments as well.
7 - You Suck: A Love Story by Christopher Moore. This was good but totally short. I finished it on the plane ride down to Vegas. It felt a little lacking to me as well. For whatever reasons I couldn't convince myself to care about most of the returning characters.
8 - Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher. Good book. Liked it a lot. Again, he's telegraphing like whoa.
9 - Academ's Fury by Jim Butcher. Also good. I like his world building. Very solid. Another quick read.
10 - Cursor's Fury by Jim Butcher. I can't wait until this gets to the point where the Dresden books are and he's surprising me with things. That will be nice. Until then very solid.
Currently reading - 11. Captain's Fury by Jim Butcher. Only like two chapters into this one but I don't think it'll last the weekend.
I have the feeling that there is a book in there that I missed but I can't remember it right now. I'm still waiting for House of Cards to appear magically in my mail box. Packages and I have been having a really hit and miss track record since moving into the new place.
