Here is your first trailer like preview for Season 2. Kristen Bell (from Veronica Mars) has been signed to the show as have Janel Parrish and soem guy from the Sopranos that I totally can't remember right now.

In case you didn't know Zachary Quinto (Sylar) has been cast as the new Spock in Star Trek. Yet another connection between the two shows, adding to the George Takei and Nichelle Nichols.

Ryan Reynolds, who has been mentioned often as a frontrunner for The Flash, leaves the door open that he might be involved with the Justice League of America movie instead of a standalone flick: "I don't really know how much I'm allowed to talk about that stuff. But I'm sure they'll figure out something. It's no secret that they have a JLA script and it's a project that's in development – the contents of which, who knows. We'll see."

In other news - Paramount/DreamWorks' decision to become exclusive to HD DVD has been... ummmm... unpopular with directors. Michael Bay isn't happy and says he won't work with them because of it and the announcement itself said Steven Spielberg "Today's announcement does not include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive to either format."

The Iron Man footage I saw at Comic Con may be released officially on-line soon, the clamor for it has been so loud.
WB and Village Roadshow Pictures are teaming on Oz, a revisionist take on the L. Frank Baum books that hatched The Wizard of Oz. The project was acquired based on an idea by Todd McFarlane that was fleshed out and pitched by Josh Olson. Apparently Josh wants this to be more Harry Potter dark than Se7en dark but still...

Eva Mendes will round out the cast for Frank Miller's The Spirit , joining Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Gabriel Macht. And I say.... Wha?

And, to save your sanity - When asked about the Justice League movie- "Bale then said something that echoes what many fans have been saying (and I’m forced to paraphrase, since I’m still at the roundtables and can’t listen to the tape): he wishes they would wait to make a Justice League film until after he and Christopher Nolan finished their own trilogy."

Russel Crowe, who was at the roundtable with him, said that Bale was offered Green Lantern but didn’t want any roles without a cape.
