Ahhhh. The Blue Angels
Aug. 2nd, 2007 10:40 amIt is certainly August in Seattle isn't it?
Let me update you all on the saga that has become my laptop repair.
So. Screen goes dead before I go to Comic Con. There is horrible burning plastic smell. This is not a good thing. Not at all. I take it in, they try to load it up and nod, "Yep. Broken." So, they send it in to the place that does repairs.
They call me while I'm in San Diego - "Motherboard fried. We fixed it. Also, there are some viruses and icky stuff on here. You want we should get rid of those?" And I, who have been having weird issues getting Norton to recognize that I HAVE, in fact, paid for its stupid self to work. So, no, at this point I don't mind getting more virus protection. I call them back to let them know.
They call me Monday to let me know I can pick it up! I get there and go, "Gimme laptop now!" and the guy there finds laptop, frowns at it and goes, "Looks like they didn't install everything. We need your power adapter. Did you happen to bring it with you?" I look at him for a few moments nad then pull it out and give it to him. "Should be done in a day or two."
Tuesday passes. Wednesday passes. Wednesday evening, I call them up before they close, "HEY! Where is laptop!?!" Guy on other side, "Ummmm. Looks like they sent it back for more repairs." Me "......." Him: "They didn't call you?" Me: "Uh. No." Him: "That's not cool. I'm so sorry. Apparently the new keyboard they put in wasn't working." Me: *sighs* Him: Should be another 5 days or so. Since it is a re-send it'll go right to the head of the line..." Me: *sighs* "Okay. Whatever."
Bleh. Stupid, stupid heads.
On the bright side, I'm registered for tennis lessons at Seattle Central starting in October! Woooo! Now to keep this up. A new class on something every quarter should be pretty cool, really. Maybe I'll find something I really like.
