Hey all...
Feb. 21st, 2007 09:43 pmChecking in from India again.
After work today, we're heading down to Pondicherry for some serious beach time. I have no idea if there will be internet there, let alone if all of the beach bungalows we have even have electricity. (It is a super posh eco friendly sort of place. Some have A/C, some don't... some have flush toilets... some don't... so.. We shall see what it is we see. www.thedune.in is the website for the place, if you're interested in seeing it.) There will be a lot of pictures to be taken on the way down the highway to the coast.
I'm looking forward to the possiblity of excellent French food by way of India. It should be interesting. (All of the food I have had, mind you, has been superb.)
So. You may or may not hear from me between now and the flying back home. I'll be getting in at 2:30ish on Sunday - flying in from Portland. It is hard to believe I have been here for three days alraedy. The time just seems to be zooming past. I think it is probably that I'm actually working pretty hard here. (And I need to remember that no plan survives the first encounter with the enemy.... or in this case the trainees. Especially when dealing with internal tools.)
What else to say? I have no idea. I like all of the girls on our team out here and we actually get along well - as well as can be expected for knowing someone in work situations for just a few days. Sweta, Elsy, Sharmila, Vinodhini and Anita are all pleasant and very sharp and have great senses of humor. I am very glad to have gotten the chance to know them. I'm reminded of the exchange programs we had in scouting in Japan. Heh.
Anyway... I should go. I have a meeting at 11:30. Not sure what I'm going to say or if this will be a higher level thing that I'm involved with only slightly.
Look forward to seeing you on the other side.
