So decadent..

Thank you all who may be watching over me, be it dragons, fairies, gods, goddesses, foxes, crows or just some formless manitfestation of will. It is Friday and I didn't realize until waking up this morning how much I needed that to be true.

Sleeping in until 6 when you've been getting up at 4:45 is amazingly luxurient and almost guilt inducing. It felt good to stay in bed with the kitties for awhile longer this morning.

Last night something in me just felt off. I felt as though I was forgetting something or there was something that I hadn't been doing that I should have. I have no idea what it was. It dropped me into a funk, a slight bit of depression. I sat on the couch, watched Mad, Mad house and had both kities take up all of my lap and that helped some. Sleeping helped more.

I'm reading Kushiel's Avatar again (thank you Pam for the direction to the community) and remembering why I loved these books the first time through. There is something epic about them but it is epic in a way that doesn't feel trite of melodramatic. I guess there is something in that world that makes me wish I were in it. There are plenty of things that say other wise but if there were one I had to pick, that wouldn't be a bad choice.

Today is meetings and work. Tomorrow is Canada and girly soaps. Sunday is sleeping in and gaming.

Ah, if only weekends were longer. *looks at the calendar* Three weeks. Three weeks until Con and then New Orleans. Wow, do I really, really, really need this vacation.

This is the trailer for a Japanese movie, Casshern. It looks really, really, really cool. I must see it. Sometime. Whenever it comes out on DVD and I can rent it at Scarecrow.

And I found a plot summary. I did not know it was based off of an anime but it does make sense, looking at it.
