Wow.... what a weekend.
Dec. 1st, 2003 09:16 amI look over my friend's journals and I see that it was a weekend of breakups. For all of you who have had a hard time of it recently, you all know where I am if you want to go out to coffee or to hit something a little harder than just coffee. I can free up just about any part of my schedule if you need it.
For me it was an excellent weekend. I had four days of recoup and recovery which I desperately needed. I saw Marci which was good for my heart. I signed up at a gym which was good for my body. Generally it was an excellent weekend for me all around, relaxing. I'm having issues but I'm working through them. I'm hoping to make this into a turning point in things. I know I'll need some help on all of this, so thank you in advance.
Thursday was Turkey Day. Went over to Kyna's with Sean and had good food. Watched some West Wing and X2. I had forgotten how good The West Wing was when it was really good. I got to meet Kyna's kitten Hermes. For a god of thieves he isn't very tricksy at all. He'll learn, I'm sure.
Friday was spent playing Final Fantasy X-2 while waiting for Marci and Sean to appear from Bellingham. Then we went out to dinner and had a great conversation, all of us, and then went to see Master and Commander. Excellent movie. I highly recommend it to any who are history buffs. There is a lot to be learned about naval warfare there, amongst other things. Trepanning! *shiver*
Saturday was another slack day, which I entirely appreciated. Sean and I hung out in the living room while Kris took a nap. Cody went out with Sean and Marci. Everyone came back together and I had the spicy Thai of doom. I can still feel where it burned a path into my stomach. Really good food but way too hot that time. We'll have to remember that place for the future, though.
Sunday was Cody and I going to Bally to sign up. It's costing a little more than I wanted to pay but less than I was paying for karate, thinking about it. I get personal training sessions, which I desperately need. The guy who signed us up, Cameron, was disappointed that Cody and I didn't have specific goals but I've gone up and down and up and down with the weight thing for so many years, I don't remember what a reasonable goal is anymore. I'll talk with the personal trainer and see what we come up with for me. I'm expecting to work and work hard. It'll be good for me. Honest. I just have to keep reminding myself of that. And to remember to bring my CD player with me since I don't have an iPod or a radio or anything.
Though a small radio would be good too.
Work to do. Work to do.
