Bubba Ho-Tep. Go see this movie. It isn't what you're expecting, I'll tell you that. It was awesome, though. Bruce Campbell and Ozzie Smith were both excellent.

Cajun Spice has been scheduled as the Oct. 4th episode of X-men Evolution. Hee hee.

From the NY Times: "Michael D. Eisner, the chief executive of the Walt Disney Company, who has his own brands to leverage, does not have to cater to any toy makers. Although he says the sequel to "Pirates" is the last ride-based movie he plans to make, he has an endless supply if he ever changes his mind." There is also something about a super soaker movie. I decided not to read too much of that.

Disney is making plans to mount an Oscar campaign for Depp's swashbuckling performance in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I wish them good luck. I don't think he'll get it but it would be nice to see.

The new trailer for The Haunted Mansion doesn't look like absolute crap. I'm impressed. Maybe it will be funny.

I forsee me playing a lot of this game.

Now for something completely different.

I had an amazingly slow weekend. I wasn't running around doing things. I didn't ahve seventeen million things to do. I stayed up late, I slept in late and damn, did it feel good. Not just a little good, but very good.

Cody allowed me the use of his lap top for MUSHing purposes. This means I don't have to feel I'm ignoring anyone. I can take care of staffly things and even roleplay and still hang out with my housemates. I thin this development alone was a large de-stressor for me. I don't have to feel like I'm choosing one or the other. Big hugs for Cody. (I need to sit down and edit and submit logs very soon, though.)

We watched lots of Escaflowne this weekend. That was also good. On the second disc there are times where the subtitles just disappear for long moments at a time. It's kind of fun to fill in the blanks with what you think they should be saying. And everyone wants a piece of Allen. I certainly can't blame them. He's so smooth. He's the man.

I cooked, I cleaned, I napped, I watched cartoons and Highlander, went to see Bubba-HoTep, roleplayed the fight that would never end, delved into some issues that are very, very close to home with a character and dealt with one of those people you never want to deal with as a Wizard. I hate people who sound entirely reasonable one on one and as soon as you start to think that they might be okay, they turn around and do something just nutty at best and you want to smack them.

All in all, it was a great weekend.

I need to set up a few things about seeing some friends of mine. Of course, there seems to be this very strange communication block between me and some of them. Maybe there are mystic forces interfering. I don't know.

Today, today... Musings

I'm sort of depressed today and I can't seem to pinpoint things. Sometimes that happens. I will just be depressed. There isn't much to do about it other than acknowledge the fact and correct for it if possible.

I am drinking a ton of water recently. I had some soda this weekend but it wasn't much. I'm still sticking to the no caffeine thing pretty well. The sugar parts aren't so good but I am definitely eating and drinking less of it than I was before.

I am looking forward to game this evening. My mood is amazingly appropriate for the character tonight.

As a note is always sucks when you love someone more than they love you. Or the other way around. This thought occurred to me today and I'm not sure why.

I had some very interesting dreams this weekend that I'm positive were Escaflowne based. Though there were parts from other things in there. I think I spent too much time watching Sean play Final Fantasy X this weekend.

I want to learn a language (or at least try). I need to look into CDs that teach or something like that. I don't seem to ever have the money around for classes, though once I get through the worst of this dental and vision bill stuff, I just might. Languages I'm interested in: Latin, Ancient Greek, Russian and Italian. Anyone else interested? Always easier if you have someone to speak to.
