Movie things...
May. 14th, 2003 08:42 amAccording to Variety, Artisan Pictures and Marvel Studios have set John Travolta to play the lead villain opposite Thomas Jane in the adaptation of The Punisher, which Jonathan Hensleigh is directing from his own script. Filming begins in July, for a summer 2004 release. That demo picture was apparently whipped up really quick so they could have something to put in front of the Hulk.
Apparently Disney is replacing Pixar with C.O.R.E. (a company from Toronto own by Shatner of all people). And Star Wars George has announced that Lucasfilm is opening a CG project - Lucasfilm Animation.
"Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation" is beginning production. Jon Davison is returning as producer and Ed Neumeier is returning as the writer.
There are some good pictures of Brad Pitt on the set of Troy and some good pictures of the boats and sets they're using. Looks like Brad has bulked up to at least his Fight Club level of muscle.
Some interesting pictures from the set of Around the World in 80 Days. I like the flying thing.
When you see The Matrix Reloaded in theaters and stay until after the ending credits, you'll get a first glimpse on the big screen at The Matrix Revolutions. "Enter the Matrix" also includes a new trailer for the film, which includes many of the same scenes. If you haven't seen "Reloaded" yet, there are some scenes in the new trailers for "Revolutions" that could be considered spoilers.

So frustrating...
May. 14th, 2003 10:12 amSo, I'm getting pictures in my head again. I used to doodle all the time and then I just stopped.
Well, there are things in my head I want to draw and I've gone through so much paper already, gotten cramps in my hand.
Still can't draw worth a damn.
Wish it were more like painting.

Did anyone other than me read Five Children and It when you were younger?
I am so excited that this is going to be made into a movie with people who will get it right. Jim Henson's Creature Shop is joining forces with Capitol Films to make a brand new kids film that will star Kenneth Branagh (the uncle) and Eddie Izzard (It).
