The weekend at large....
Apr. 2nd, 2001 08:54 amHmmmmm...
Well, Friday was good. Hung out by myself. Had a decently good time.
Saturday - Went to karate, went to the mall. Had a water massage thing. Damn that's cool. I gotta get one of those for home use. Went to the birthday party and that was cool. Tina gave me kisses on the cheek and I got to socialize with people I haven't in a long time and normally don't get a chance to. That was pretty cool. I had forgotten how much I had liked some of these people. Of course when I met most of them the first time I was more shy than I am now and I was intimidated at the least. S'cool now, though.
Sunday - Hung out with Jen and Jeff, got my taxes done. Getting a nice refund (It's almost as much as a pay check. Pretty sweet.) Figured out why my character in Jeff's upcoming game has all of the weird personality quirks she was telling me she had. Family is swell.
Slobodan Milosovic was arrested. That was a good thing. Interesting story on that some other time if anyone wants to ask me.
American Intel plane bumps Chinese spy plane or the other way around. Hmmmm.. Well, those planes generally don't actually fly over the country itself. We were probably over international waters and international airspace, though it's hard to tell. The Japanese want us to make up and hug really quickly and I don't blame them. If something nasty breaks out, they're in the middle of it. The Chinese are coming close to breaking international law by not letting us talk to the crew. Bush's administration hasn't excatly been kind with their words that direction since they've started. Realtions between us and China have never been strong.... Interesting situation.
Reminds me of the fact I learned when in the U.K.. The Chinese were upgrading Iraqi missles systems and that's why we launched our attack against them in February. They were making it so out planes could be hit. Interesting, don't you think? I certainly do.
No one wants a world war. It's nasty icky stuff.
We're not looking at one yet. There hasn't been anything that can't be fixed yet. Tensions between us and China are not as bad as things were between us and Russia when they shot down our spy plane. We can negotiate this...... If people don't get bitchy.
